Flight over to Africa

For the next several weeks, I am going to be blogging my experience from Africa.  It is quite the possibility that none of this will be posted until after my return, depending on if there is internet access in the bush and if their computers can handle my vastly superior 1.21 Gigawats Apple Computer.

It is currently just after 12:00pm in Atlanta.  We are flying what appears to be less than 100 miles south of the tip of Greenland approaching Amsterdam.  My normal concoction of wine and melatonin is having adverse effect – I am wide-awake.

Side Note: Every time I travel abroad I become more and more aware of the ridiculous side of American culture.  Rob and I watched “Step Brothers” sometime ago, probably over Boston.  When praying for preparation about my time in Kenya, I never imagined that my time would be launched by such great American cinema!

  • They fed us well on the flights. Not your usuall nurtragrain bar and juice…actuall meals. We flew via KLM airlines…Dutch owned. The meals resembled something you might find in the cafe at IKEA. Very unique.
